How much does it cost ?

Automated Homes Well, that all depends on just how large is your house, and how much of it you want to control – but it’s probably less than you think.

Remember, the system works mostly without wires; typically you only need wiring installed between the locally-mounted module and the thing that it is controlling (for instance, between a switch module and the existing wiring on your hot water cylinder), and many modules (e.g. temperature sensors/adjusters, radiator controllers) need no wiring at all.

Because the system needs so little installation work, and the work is very easy, you can use your own local electrician to install the system, to our instructions – this cuts out a significant area of cost when compared with other systems.

Also, the system is comprised of many standard, mass-produced modules, and economies of scale mean that the manufacturing costs of the products are lower than competitive, low volume products.

But of course a sophisticated control system like this will always cost more than a simple lightswitch or crude thermostat; the question is, how much more ?

We work by reviewing each building individually, and then proposing a solution (or range of solutions). Send us your plans, (ideally floorplans, even if only hand-drawn) or a description of your building, along with other key facts (type of heating system, locations of radiators, manifolds, details of blinds, awnings, other devices to be controlled). We will get back to you with a budget price – it might be less than you think!

we then work out which components are needed for your project, and produce a quotation; this far, its all free-of-charge
if you want to go ahead, we will supply the equipment, and bespoke wiring drawings if needed
your electrician installs the equipment and wires it up (there’s very little wiring to do). He can contact us if he’s not sure
when the system is ready, we’ll come to your house and set the system to work

It’s as simple as that.
